Commissioned by the Cologne-based agency Birch Cove, I was responsible for editing the official brand film for LUIZ, a family-run company that has been producing exclusive home textiles for over 40 years. The film captures the essence of the brand: a deep passion for beauty, a love for fine materials, and a dedication to creating a personalised sense of home for discerning clients.
With a focus on the company’s in-house tailoring studio, the visuals — shot by Director of Photography Robert Wiezorek — showcase the artisanal precision and emotional value behind each piece. My editing approach aimed to translate this luxurious atmosphere into a flowing, tactile narrative — highlighting the textures, gestures and quiet elegance that define the LUIZ identity. Through subtle pacing, seamless transitions and a clear visual rhythm, the film conveys the harmony between tradition and modern refinement. The result is an image film that reflects not only the quality of the products but the soul of the brand itself.
In addition to the full-length image film, a one-minute trailer was produced to distill the brand’s essence into a shorter, more dynamic format. This condensed version was specifically designed for platforms where attention spans are shorter—such as social media, trade fairs, or digital campaigns—while still conveying the elegance, craftsmanship and emotional depth that define LUIZ. Through carefully selected scenes, rhythmic pacing, and an emphasis on mood and texture, the trailer serves as a powerful visual introduction to the brand’s world in just 60 seconds.
