This short film was created as part of my application to the Köln International School of Design (KISD). The assignment was to take one word – in my case, “fast” – and respond to it creatively within four weeks.
Instead of developing a fictional character, I chose to turn the camera on myself. The film documents – in a stylized, self-aware way – how I actually approached the assignment: by procrastinating until the very last day. In a moment of panic, I search online for a shortcut and come across an over-the-top commercial for a product called “Decrastinator”, which promises to solve all my problems instantly. I order it, try it – and miraculously, it works.
By combining scripted scenes, mock advertising, and personal reflection, the film plays with the tension between pressure and creativity, self-sabotage and self-irony. It became not only my submission for the assignment, but also a commentary on the very process of trying to be creative on demand.
The result: I was accepted into the Integrated Design program at KISD.
