Upgeklärt – Was du in der Schule nicht lernst is a YouTube infotainment format developed for LVM Versicherung and produced by the agency Social Match. Aimed at students and young adults, the series explains real-life topics like taxes, insurance, job applications, and moving out—subjects typically not covered in school. Protagonist Tom guides viewers through these challenges with relatable storytelling and a tone that feels approachable rather than instructional.
As part of the core team behind the format, I was responsible for the complete technical and post-production workflow. I researched and set up the entire studio environment, including camera, lighting, and audio. On set, I handled both camera operation and sound recording. I managed all media backups and data workflows, and edited most of the 120 full-length episodes as well as approximately 250 YouTube Shorts and TikToks. I also created animated elements for the show, including the animated opener, and acted as a technical point of contact between the agency and the client throughout the production.
The format ran successfully from early 2021 until late 2024 and achieved over 13 million views on YouTube alone. Upgeklärt helped LVM Versicherung position itself as a trustworthy and youth-oriented brand—without relying on product advertising, but instead through meaningful, high-quality content.
